In addition to folk building QRP gear, other gear can be convenient to QRO and other operations. Note a recent QST article on a homebrew microphone. Here are a few kits ideas that may be of general interest:

I use all three of these items in my shack.
Homebrew has been inhibited a bit by the challenge/cost in getting parts. Those of us who homebrew generally collect a lot of parts, including some scavenging from thrown away equipment. Many RF projects require toroids - and here is an excellent source for these and a few other items, often at a lower cost than other distributors:
