All:
10 days to go. Only 9 until set up begins. Set up will start promptly at 1400
on Friday, 22 June. We will need to get the outdoor things done first. That
includes putting up antennas.
Weather permitting, we will set up some of the stations on the lawn. I plan to
put the HF PH, GOTA, and GIOTA stations there as well as the Go-Kit demo.
VHF/UHF will be setting up on the picnic table by the double-door entrance. The
DIG guys are setting up in the large training room. The CW ops are setting up
in the club station. The APRS demo will be set up at the club packet rig.
Batteries ... Since we will be a QRP/Battery all battery charging must stop at
1400 on Saturday when Field Day starts. The only exception is for solar, wind,
or other natural power charging. No commercial power. No petroleum powered
engines.
Note that the demos are not logging QSOs so they can run from commercial power.
Logging computers can run from commercial power. However, a computer that is
encoding or decoding QSO data (such as PSK31) or keying a CW rig must run from
battery power.
Maybe I should threaten to serve MREs--we still need a Food Captain.

Meanwhile, would someone like to volunteer as Food Captain?
