CCARC Board of Directors Meeting, 20-June-2007

In attendance were Rich N3III, Gene KB3JHR, Tony KF3AK, Bill W3STG, Bill N3WM,
Chuck N3TOT, and Steve N3SB.

1.	Field Day – plans are coming together for Field Day – which is coming up this
weekend!

2.	Presentations:
a.	Senior Friendly Radio Presentation – Rich N3III had a great time presenting
his Senior Friendly Radio equipment at the Frederick Hamfest last weekend. 
b.	Software Defined Radio – A “dumpster grade” PC and a $10 softrock receiver
kit can make a cheap, but effective Software Defined Radio presentation for
local hamfests.
c.	VBS Presentation – Bill W3STG and Rich N3III will be providing a radio
demonstration to a group of kids at the Vacation Bible School on Thursday 21
June.

3.	Van Disposition – No bids were received by the June deadline. Rich N3III
started the van last month and drove it around the parking lot. It’s running
and drive-able. One potential purchaser will advise the BoD by the end of July
if they are interested in purchasing it.

4.	Tailgate Fest / Hamfest – Both events are sanctioned by the ARRL. A caterer
has been secured for both events. 

5.	Membership Guide – Bill W3STG has prepared a membership guide for this year.
A few minor tweaks have been suggested which will be incorporated, and then the
document will be published.
