CCARC Board of Directors Meeting, 18-July-2007

In attendance were Rich N3III, Gene KB3JHR, Tony KF3AK, Bill W3STG, Rob K1RH,
Chuck N3TOT, Frank K3MTT, and Steve N3SB.

1.	Laptop Donation – Tony KF3AK has requested that the laptop computer recently
donated to the club be used for treasurer’s activities. The BoD has approved
Tony’s request.

2.	Tailgate-Fest – Tony has confirmed once again with the Ag Center that our
date for the Tailgate-Fest (and our Hamfest in October) has been reserved for
us. Frank K3MTT and Bill N3WM will handle treasury duties for the Tailgate-Fest
while Tony is out of town. We have all the tickets we’ll need for several years.
Parking arrangements have changed at the Ag Center; a visit to the site will be
made in the next several days so that we can plan how to control traffic. 

3.	PICetSAT – Rich N3III has constructed PICetSAT-1, which will fly on a
practice launch of SIMSAT-3 on Tuesday 24-July. He plans on demonstrating the
module at the next hamfest in Howard County. Along with the demonstration Rich
will be handing out our hamfest flyers. 

4.	VBS Ham Initiative – There is a request that a demonstration be given to
another group of VBS youths in the Freeland area of Baltimore County sometime
next spring.

5.	Van Disposition – We will have pictures of the van at the Tailgate-fest in
August, to drum up interest.

6.	DCS Committee – Doug Wittich, Skywarn Coordinator, will be attending the
meeting on Monday 23-July to talk about Skywarn. The committee will also make
plans to complete several projects.

7.	TechSoup – This organization provides non-profit organizations with deep
discounts on software and other items. Frank K3MTT has offered to be our
liaison to the organization.
