[K3PZN-List] Remote Car Start Interfere with Amateur Radio

All-

I recently purchased a car with a Viper 790VX alarm/remote start system
installed.

I called the alarm dealer, and they stated that they don't think it'll
be a problem because the Viper uses spread spectrum to eliminate
interference.

According to the Alarm owner's manual, they center on 435 MHz, which is
in the 70cm band.

My concern is that if I install my 70cm mobile, and pound that receiver
with watts of RF in the same band that it is using, it may croak.

The receive antenna is just inside the windshield at the top center.

I'm not sure where the alarm controller is. Probably the trunk.

My understanding is that the Viper is in control, and so if it locks up,
I can't over-ride it.

Should I have it pulled before I use the radio?

Suggestions?
