Hi - its me Page

It's my official duty to let you know of an upcoming event so you may
advise the Madxra Club under your jurisdiction about this activity
(in case you haven't heard.Hi !)

Maryland's State Amateur Radio Convention that was part of the Big
GBHC Barc Hamfest is changing identity and becoming an annual road
show.

The first stop on this all new Maryland State Convention is going to
be close for your members. Its to be staged this year in Hagerstown.

Here are the very pertinent details as they exist at this time.

Date  Saturday July 29.

Time frame   9 AM till roughly 4 PM

Place -Educational Building of Otterbein United Methodist Church,
108 East Franklin St, Hagerstown (Corner of Franklin and N. Locust)

Multiple forums, we hope will occur at 9 AM, 10AM, 11 AM, 1 PM and
2 PM.. Forums will be 45-50 minutes long.

Noon to 1 PM will be the lunch break and there are several eateries
within walking distance.

At 3 PM we anticipate 2 activities presently, Trip to Graveside
Memorial Service at the Grave of Hiram Percy Maxim and/or a tour of
TV 25 Studios in Hagerstown.

Admission will be charged for the Convention. $5 per person attending.
There will be some door prizes provided by ARRL and by the Antietam
Radio Association.

The event is being co-chaired by the Lovely Karin, KB3GFV and the not
so lovely Page, WA3EOP.

As a special attraction, we think we will have the Laurel MD "City on
Wheels" Mobile Communications Center on Display with its Amateur Radio
stations including ATV on board.

Please pass the word.

At this time, ARA, an ARRL Special Services Club, is trying to line up
forums.  Would Madrxa like to sponsor a Forum? This would include
lining up the presenter, topic and coordinating with me for available
time. All sponsored forums would be listed as such in our program guide
and on the web page we will be setting up for the convention.
