[K3PZN-List] Possible Change of Venue

I thought that the whole purpose of "Field" day was just that....a
realistic test of operations under "less than ideal" conditions,
similar to what we could encounter during an actual emergency
situation. Has the accumulation of DX 'points' become so important
that we may have forgotten this?
I know that it is easy for me to say that, because I'm not
participating this year. It's just my two cents. BTW, had I been
able to participate, I wouldn't hesitate to once again spearhead the
support logisticts of providing food for the participants and I
wouldn't necessarily change the menu because of a chance of
thunderstorms. This is ALSO part of the exercize to provide
everything needed for sustained operations regardless of operating
conditions.
Once again, I'm just putting in my two cents.
Good luck and 73,
