Keith,
except for the vehicle traffic, somedays you have to
wonder where all the hams have gone on 2m FM. had a
short QSO with N3SOK this morning on 285. it has
great coverage even filling the hole i experience on
Marriotsville Rd - so if we ever need emergency
operations down in the valley we are ready.
i agree it is hard to raise anyone on 410 during
commuting hours. i have been getting to know some
folk on the CARA machine, and I suspect others have to
migrated to other machines.
i will vow to monitor 410 more often from home when i
am running HF.
