And now the FCC has responded not only by rejecting the ARRL request to 
raise the barrier to 3635, but by eliminating the Morse Code requirements as 
well.  (I'm not sure when this becomes effective, but since it isn't a new 
order, but a modification of an order, it could be as soon as they publish 
the formal R&O.  In deed, it may already be effective.)

Personally, I would have sided towards the ARRL request, but that's me.

Btw, it was a great dinner, I had to leave early, but everyone seemed to be 
enjoying themselves.
