My wife setup the dual band J-pole last week.  It works well.  I can
easily reach both the Westminster and the Springfield repeaters on 2M.
I can reach the 450 repeater, but not as clearly.  

The problem is that on 2M, when I transmit, the printer hums and the hum
is modulated such that I can hear my voice intelligibly.  It sounds
something like when you speaking into a fan.  This happens regardless of
whether or not the printer is turned on.  I didn't think to unplug the
printer.  

While the hum is distracting, my real concern is about damaging the
printer.  

Has anyone heard of this type of problem?  Any ideas on how I can shield
my printer?
