The monthly club meeting was held on October 10, 2005 at the FTC at 7:30PM.

The number of members present was: 22
The number of guests present was: 1
The minor quorum was 8, and the major quorum was 17.
A quorum being present, the meeting commenced.

Announcements:
The Board of Directors meeting is next Wednesday at 7:30PM at the FTC.

Hamfests:
The next club meeting is November 14, 2005 at 7:30PM at the FTC.
JOTA is this weekend.

John K3KWO gave the presentation.
The topic was Digital Communications.

The Treasurer announced the financial status.

The door prize, ARRL Handbook, and was won by Matt KB3LOX.

There will be a DCS committee meeting on October 24, 2005 at 7:30PM at the 
FTC.

Steve N3SB announced that a couple of club members have expressed interest 
in the club van.  He stated that club members have until the HamFest to make 
offers.  After that the van will become available to a larger pool of 
potential customers.

HamFest 2005: Keith W3MDC expressed dismay at the poor level of signups for 
jobs at the HamFest.  Clint W3ARS and Mike N3VOP expressed confidence that 
when the time came people would step up.  Keith responded that he needs 
people to volunteer in advance so that he doesn't have spend all of his time 
at the HamFest running around trying to match people to jobs.  Steve N3SB 
announced that the Board of Directors would take in consideration the level 
of member participation when deciding whether to host a HamFest next year.
