Folks-

 

My wife and I had a good time at SET 2005.  Shirley KB3KYJ was able to
transmit a message, and I spent my time formatting outgoing messages and
copying down messages for practice.  It is more challenging copying messages
when dealing with the noise and hub-bub than I expected.

 

There were 7 operators, which allowed for people to take breaks without
dropping band coverage.  My wife brought eats, which are always popular.

 

There were some glitches, the biggest one being that we couldn't get the
digital station going. (Packet? Winlink? I'm not sure)

 

I have some ideas, which I will bring up at the next DCS committee meeting
on 10/24/05.  John N3MNM, Shirley KB3KYJ, and I got to help pack up one of
the temporary antenna towers, which was way cool.
