Please see the below obituary for long time club
member and Ham John Campbell. John was very active
in ham radio until recently. He was a good man, he
will be missed by all of us that knew him.

John W. Campbell, 95, of Taneytown
John William Campbell, 95, of Taneytown, died
Thursday, May 19, 2005, at Carroll Hospital
Center, Westminster.
Born Feb. 8, 1910, in Westminster, he was the son
of the late Marshall and Mary Campbell. He was the
husband of Helen Smith Campbell, his wife of 61
years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as
a radar technician. He and his wife operated
Campbell's Radio & TV Service in Westminster for
48 years. He was an amateur radio operator for 75
years and a member of Old Buzzards Radio Club.
He was a member of Messiah United Methodist
Church, Taneytown. He was also a member of
Hesson-Snider Post 120 American Legion, Taneytown,
and Molleville Farm VFW Post 467, Westminster.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are brother M.
Wilson Campbell of Shrewsbury, Pa.; and a number
of nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the
convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by Skiles Funeral Home,
Taneytown.
