ARES Members:

There are two MAJOR events coming in June that we have been asked to provide communications support:

3, 4, 5 June - American Lung Association Chesapeake Bay Bike Tour, Salisbury
17 June - Carroll County Emergency Activation Exercise, Westminster

No longer can we talk the talk, we now have to walk the walk!  These two events will sure be easier to do with a lot of participation.  So now is the time to practice what we preach.

The event on Friday, 17 June is an exercise in which the details are not being let out so that all the services will need to react to the scenarios as they occur.  This should be interesting.  Take a day off and let us show the County that we are a viable communications entity that can do the job.

The American Lung Association Chesapeake Bay Bike Tour in Salisbury is an all weekend event, and is not all work.  Food and entertainment IS included!

It is time to start making plans for the Bike Tour.  I would like to hold a meeting next Thursday, 12 May at the Fire Training Center in Westminster at 7:00 PM (1900).
