CARROLL COUNTY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB BOARD MINUTES

 

  The Carroll County Amateur Radio Club Board met on February 23d 2005 
at the Fire Training Center, members present were John AK3Z; Frank 
K3MTT; Jerry N3GQK; Steve N3SB; Joe N3YIM; Doug N5LBJ, Bill N3WM and 
guest Bill WM3N.

 

  President Beckman made the following announcements, next RACES meeting 
with be held this Saturday the 26th at the Mount Airy Library at 9:30AM; 
Steve has been told that Bill Martin of the County Emergency 
Communications Office is trying to reach him, we hope it may be about 
funding; the future of the van will be discussed at length, we will use 
the van at public supported events and field day, the agreement was to 
try the project for one year and evaluate the results then.

 

  Bill N3WM has agreed to run for another term as treasurer, he stated 
he will have a year to find a replacement.

 

  Doug N5LBJ has agreed to be the point of contact for guest speakers 
for the club to relieve Steve from this job.

 

  Steve mentioned to Bill that Shirley had volunteered to find a 
suitable place for a club picnic, in the July timeframe probably.

 

  The current board members presented Steve with a 220 Transverter in 
recognition of his many accomplishments and donations to the club, 
thanks Steve we really appreciated all you have done for our club.

 

  The Tailgate Fest and Hamfest flyer was approved; we will have 10,000 
printed again this year.

 

  There being nothing further the meeting adjourned at 9:15PM.
