The monthly club meeting was held on June 13, 2005 at the FTC.

 

There were 22 members, and 1 guest present. 

The minor quorum was 8, and the major quorum was 17.

A quorum being present, the meeting commenced.

 

The club in recognition of the recent SK of John Campbell W3BRS observed a moment of tribute.  John was a club life member.

 

Announcements:

The Board of Directors will meet next Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 7:30PM.

There are Hamfest flyers are available for distribution in the club station room.

Frederick hamfest is Father's day Sunday.

On June 17, there is a countywide drill.

Field day is June 25/26 at Mt Airy Middle School

Mike N3VOP is seeking more station captains

The club picnic is July 16 at 1PM at Gambrill state park

The QSL design contest will be decided at the picnic.

Thank you card from widow of John W3BRS.

 

Larry discussed the countywide drill. 

Larry would like a telephone tree of participants.

 

Club members visiting Dayton delivered the meeting presentation.

The topic was Dayton Review.

 

Steve showed the Lay Leno CW video.

 

Secretary report approved by unanimous consent.

Treasurer report approved by unanimous consent.

BOD report approved by unanimous consent.

 

The budget for FY2006 was discussed and approved by unanimous consent by the membership.

 

The food factory will cater both hamfests.

 

The station committee has taken possession of donated Alinco equipment

 

The UM med system donated UPS units.

 

Field Day:

The school board must approve overnight stays.

N3WM will be GOTA callsign this year.
