It's almost here!! I will be dragging my Field Day boxes out of the
basement this weekend to ensure everything is in order for next weekend.
Hopefully everyone else is thinking about Field Day and what they can do to
help out. Maybe Mike can repost the list of station captains on the
reflector. I will be putting up the same station as last year on 20 meters
phone. If anyone has specific times they would like to operate, please let
me know and I will do my best to accommodate them. Usually there are enough
people hanging around, but I will need assistance sending the tower up
Friday night and bringing it back down Sunday afternoon.
As was discussed last night, we probably need to formalize who is
responsible for the various bonus points as well as various other tasks. I
know Mike said he is very busy these days, so I took the liberty of creating
a list of the available bonus points and tasks that I thought of. Mike,
maybe you can update this list with who has volunteered so far.
Bonus Points:
* 100 Points per transmitter if all contacts are made using an
emergency power source (2,000 points max). (GOTA and 1st VHF don't count
towards bonus)
* 100 Points if we attempt to obtain publicity from local media.
* 100 Points for physically locating in a public place.
* 100 Points for a Public Information Table. We need a copy of the
visitor's log or a picture of the table.
* 100 Points for originating a NTS message to the ARRL section
manager.
* 10 Points for each NTS messages originated, relayed or
received/delivered (100 points max)

* 100 Points for making at least 5 QSOs using an alternate power
source.
* 100 Points for copying the W1AW bulletin.

APRS, ATV and SSTV. (300 points max)
* 100 Points for a visit by an elected government official as a result
of an invitation.

generator.
