Happy new year to one and all.
Just a reminder: weather permitting, there will be an (Amateur Radio
Emergency Service) ARES training session beginning at 9:00 AM on
Saturday January 29, 2005. This ARES training is open to ALL ham
radio operators. You DO NOT need to be a member of the CCARC to
participate. So if you know of someone who wants to get involved,
please pass along this information.
Immediately following the ARES training will be MCC Driver training,
also weather permitting. This time around, this training is open ONLY
to those hams who have either completed or are currently enrolled in
one of the ARRL Emergency Communications Courses. Additional driver
training classes will be open to all Carroll County ARES members.
Remember: Athough we have yet to see our first snow storm of the
winter, tornado and flash flood season will soon be upon us! Get your
training BEFORE disaster strikes!
