The monthly club meeting was held on Aug 8, 2005 at the FTC.



The number of members present was: 20

The number of guests present was: 2

The minor quorum was 7, and the major quorum was 16.

A quorum being present, the meeting commenced at 7:30PM.



Announcements:

The Board of Directors meeting is next Wednesday at 7:30PM at FTC.

Hamfest flyers are available in the station for distribution.

The June/July NewsWaves is available for download from the website.

The next club meeting is September 12.

The MD wine festival is September 17.



Upcoming Hamfests:

Hanover Area Ham Association: August 21

FARFest: September 10-11

Columbia Amateur Radio Association: October 2



Mailbag:

A letter was received requesting information on learning about Ham radio.

Steve N3SB will respond.



Steve N3SB gave the presentation.

The topic was the video ARRL goes to Washington.



The Secretary posted the club minutes to the reflector.

The Treasurer announced the financial status.



>From the Board of Directors meeting:

Eric KB3HKG will do Webpage maintenance.



The club will develop a map of 5W repeater coverage.





10 people attended the picnic.  Do we want to have a picnic next year?

Less than half agreed.



Steve N3SB formed a new committee.  The DCS committee provides Disaster 
Communication Services.  Chuck N3TOT will chair

TailGate Fest:

Joe N3YIM is distributing a signup sheet.

Setup is 4PM-5PM Saturday.  Start is 5AM Sunday.
