Dear CCARC Contesting Enthusiasts;

It is that time of year again - time for the
Maryland/DC QSO Party!  

This is a fun event that spans Saturday and Sunday,
August 13th and 14th - TWO WEEKENDS from now.

I will be hosting a Multi-Operator Multi-Transmitter
Club event from my house using the new Carroll County
Contesters call sign:  WY3P.  Our team will operate in
the high power club category (we are worth big points
to other stations) and will begin promptly at noon
Saturday and continue until Midnight.

Of course there will be a break in the afternoon as a
group of us help set up for the Carroll County
Tailgate Fest.

USA and DX conditions have been fairly good the past
few weeks, and if the bands stay open we may have
activity on all HF bands, including 10 meters.

in the WY3P event:

WX3B
W3ADC
W3ADX
N3CA
N3SB (I hope)
W3ARS
NY3A (a Stretch, but possible)

I would like to add a few more full time operators so
that our Tailgatefest Team doesn't leave the radios
un-manned.  

We have a high goal - to WIN the club competition of
this contest - in one day of operation.

I will send out reminder messages of this event, along
with the confirmed attendees and directions as the
event gets closer.

As usual, BBQ food & soft drinks/snacks will be
supplied throughout the event.  Hope to see some of
you at my new house!
