The next RACES Communication Exercise (COMMEX) will be Tuesday, April 12 at 7:30 - 8:30 PM.  The Carroll County EOC may be active for this drill.  Any change in location will be announced and talk-in to the EOC will be on the 145.41 repeater.

RACES exercise scenario for April 12, 2005 will be Severe flooding affecting most of the mid-Atlantic Region.  State and local emergency operations centers (EOCs) have activated.  Commercial power and communications outages are occurring statewide.  Population sheltering is underway.  National Weather Service forecasters are requesting weather related damage reports be transmitted to the Maryland Joint Operations Center for coordination.  The State Operations Center (SEOC) at Camp Fretterd is operational.  

The exercise objectives are to improve accuracy in the formatting, sending, and receiving of messages between Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) and the State EOC.
