following members were present, Steve N3SB, Doug N5LBJ, Jerry N3GQK,
Frank K3MTT, Bill N3WM, Keith W3MDC, Chuck N3TOT, John AK3Z and Joe
N3YIM, meeting was called to order at 1945.

President Beckman read a letter of thanks from the Baltimore Bike Club
for our support to the Civil War Century Bike Ride.

President Beckman reported he had met with Larry WX3F to discuss the
clubs ARES/RACES role in support to local agencies.

The membership will be asked if they want to sponsor Tailgate Fest 6
next year. if so N3YIM has agreed to chair the event.

The Finksburg Food Factory has been asked to supply food for the
upcoming Hamfest.

During the October meeting Pat N8KP will give his SIMSAT presentation,
and at the November meeting there will be a presentation of where we are
with the van project.

Chuck N3TOT chairman for the Loaner Radio committee read a list of
requirements for the HT's and mobile radios. Also a discussion on the
rules and requirements for loan of these radios was conducted; Chuck
will write a memo covering both items.

Bill N3WM gave a Treasurers update report, copy on file with official
minutes.

Joe N3YIM stated that Dave W3VK is back stateside and asked for the
repeater tone so he can get on the repeater, if you hear Dave be sure to
QSO with him.

Frank K3MTT has agreed to chair an Old Time Radio show-n-tell for a
club function in the near future.

Doug N5LBJ ask that a successor to him for the Youth Group be found,
he has served his year and wants to move on to other projects and
activities.

There is a need for a radio to be placed at the EOC as a permanent
installation, there are antennas in place for the clubs use, securing
the radio was an issue, and a locking file cabinet will be located at
the EOC for locking the mic and/or power supply after use. In the
future if you are attending a session at the EOC, use the lower
entrance, the one closest to route 140.

A discussion about the placement of the other repeater we have was
generated by N3GQK; several options were brought up, but no firm
decision was made at this time, discussion will continue after the Hamfest.

There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 2215.

Submitted;

Joe Ebaugh, N3YIM
