Hi Phil = The Alzheimer's Association is sponsoring a bicycle
ride from Cumberland to Georgetown 11-12 September. I'm trying to
get a few ARES/RACES/REACT volunteers between Cumberland and
Williamsport to support this event 11 Sep. They'll ride from
Williamsport to Georgetown 12 Sep and have lunch at Brunswick.

There are only a few spots where they'll need Hams for comm, but
I am looking for volunteers for Sunday in WashCo, FredCo, and
MontCo. If you're calendar admits, we could use your help and
some other CarrCo Hams, too. I guess most MontCo Hams are
planning to go to FARFest as I've had no contact from Bob Lyons
in that area.

On Saturday, 18 September, ARRL is sponsoring a nationwide event
called Amateur Radio Awareness Day. MADXRA and FARC are working
on an exhibit for FrederickTowne Mall. Jim, K4CGY, has offered to
help us from CarrCo, but nothing heard yet on other fronts. If
you can squeeze in a couple of hours, we'll be meeting the public
from 1000 to 1800 that day.
