[K3PZN-List] WE MADE THE FRONT PAGE-But lost a golden opportunity!!!

There we were .. a big picture and front page coverage in the Carroll
County Times. We have enjoyed having good coverage of Field Day but none
that I can remember that made the front page and on the very next day after.
And no extensive articles of earlier Hamfests that I can remenber.
That is excellent publicity for the club ... but .. we missed a golden
opportunity. We missed a golden opportunity to publicize one of our biggest
projects of all time, The Mobile Communications Center (MCC). Here we have
it parked with the mast up and the generator running right next to the folks
being interviewed. What a golden opportunity to mention the Fund raiser or
better yet send them inside to see Keith, or I. We would have been glad to
give them a story and that might have given the fund raising effort the jump
start it needs. Our appeal to Commercial interests have yet to bear fruit
and the legitimacy of front page coverage might just have been the jump
start needed.
This note is not meant to criticize any one individual or any members of the
club. Its intent is to ask and remind all members to take advantage of any
opportunity that comes along to help the club further its endeavors.
