Dear Mid-Atlantic QSO Party Operators;
Just a reminder - this is NOT the same contest as the
Maryland/DC QSO Party - the rules are totally
different...
This is a brand new contest this year and you can read
about it at:
http://www.qsl.net/maqso/
I'll need some help getting ready for this event, in
the following areas:
1. Radio Support - Al (K3ZE), can you make sure our
radios are working, connected to the computers, and
that we have at least two HF antennas working? How
about the VHF stations?
2. Computer Support - We need an expert to load the
new software to keep track of the contest...Anyone
interested?
3. ...And by all means the MOST important - we need
food. Might work best if everybody shows up to the
club station with something. I'll volunteer to bring
over dinner - which will be Pizza, Sodas and/or some
Chicken - to be served between 6:00 and 7:00pm!
If there is enough interest - we'll start talking
about voice keyers...and putting up yagi antennas on
that AB/577...
Drop me an email to the reflector or to [email protected]
if you can participate - let me know when you want to
operate, what your preferred band/mode is, and what
you're willing to help out with.
This should be an EXCELLENT pre-field day
gathering...minus the heat and bugs.
73,
Jim Nitzberg WX3B
