I plan to be at the site by 2:00 pm on Friday possible
before. The rules say that set-up can not start
earlier then 2PM Friday but in the past this has been
defined as equipment and antenna's. Shelter set-up and
moving equipment TO the site could start anytime. Some
say that in the spirit of FD NO set-up should start
before 2PM. However some in the QRP field say that to
be really QRP not only should power be limited to 5
watts but the antenna should also be QRP, ie as small
as possible. I tried this once and couldn't work
anyone with my dummy load so I went back to the 5 watt
definition. I will do the same with set-up though I
doubt I will get much done before 2PM.
