To all "HAMS" in the Washington, DC, area, Northern Virginia,
Washington, DC, all Maryland Counties -

Once again the National, MS & the Baltimore Chapter are
sponsoring a 3 DAY Challenge Walk from an area near ARUNDEL
County in Maryland to Washington, DC.  This is a 50 mile walk!

The dates are OCTOBER 1-3, 2004.  As with most public service
events, the sponsors are giving out "T" shirts, and meals, and a
place for you to put down your own tent if you wish to stay over
for 2 nights.

This event because of its size will require at least 20 hams per
day.

All operating will be on 144Mhz simplex, therefore, you would
need a minimum 10w for your rig and a portable antenna with some
height, or a higher power mobile set-up.

Since this event is open to all hams, those of you that maybe
ARES MEMBERS (ARRL sponsored), could count this toward your SET
operation.
