Carroll County, Tuesday, Jan. 27
TODAY BECAUSE OF THE WX and Caroll County school
closings I did not brave the slick and icy roads to
head into work. Outside of a few chores, what a
beautiful day it was for some R&R. To top it off,
I received my CCARC NewsWaves in the mail.
What a fine issue. Just finished supper and I also
finished reading it, cover to cover. What a fine
edition!
Not in one little corner could I find the name and
call of the editor, but it was clear that our
illustrious 2003 HOTY recipient, Mike Fisher N3VOP,
was the guy who handled the duping services. KUDOS TO
Joe N3YIM, whom I'm sure is that man behind the curtain
once again. One of the finest issues to date, next to
last summer's Field Day results. (Yes, it helps that
I find my name in print to call it one of the finest
issues to date. After all, I am a ham -- in more than
one sense of the word. ;-) We appreciate your work,
Joe!
EVERYONE PLEASE NOTE on the front of the PHOTO
GALLERY is a cute little Sykesville Middle School 6th
grader. Her mom is the *Laurie* (N3IAG, as in "NASA 3
I'm At Goddard") and her dad is yours truly. So,
pictured selling tickets is our Rebekah Shawn Kilroy
(to be licensed, hopefully in 2004).
Oh yes. Special thanks to Al K3ZE for taking the time to
type up the paragraphs and de-mystifying the ARRL Logbook
of the World (LoTW). Nice job, Al. And thank you too
to all the others who contributed to this award winning
newsletter!
Take care es Stay warm and dry.
Sincerely,
Pat N8PK
