The course will be centered on the American Radio Relay League's (ARRL)
tried and true Technician License Video Course and supplemented by the
instructors through question and answer periods after each lesson. The
instructors will also be available for help after Saturday's classroom
session. Following the Sunday session, an ARRL Volunteer Examination will
be administered.

Course Pre-Requisite

While there are no formal pre-requisites, students are strongly encouraged
to begin studying for the course before the weekend classroom sessions using
the ARRL's Now You're Talking License Manual (5th edition) or Ham Radio For
Dummies. Copies of Now You're Talking are available from the Carroll County
Amateur Club. The cost is $15.00 (25% off the cover price). You may either
pick up your manual at our January 10, 2005 meeting beginning at 7:00pm or a
