[K3PZN-List] DX Alert: YV0D Active on 20m SSB & CW: 40m SSB

I worked KD6WW/YV0 yesterday with a big pileup working 14.260. I assume it
was one of the DXpedition guys using his own call trying to get some
personal contacts. Hope their generator is better. They went down late
yesterday afternoon with a failed generator. I didn't see them come back up
on the packet cluster last night.

Dear CCARC DXers;

This is an excellent time to test your pileup breaking
skills in preparation for the upcoming contest season.

Martti Lane, OH2BH and a team of hams are on an Island
off the coast of Venezuela and they are using the call
sign YV0D.

The island, AVES Island, is a DXCC entity all by
itself and many of you will need it for a new country.

The pileups yesterday were pretty fierce, however they
should calm down in another day or so. Don't wait too
long, however, because this expedition is scheduled to
QRT on this Friday.

They are on the usual DX frequency of 14.195 listening
UP the band...and on 40m at 7.055 listening in the USA
portion.

73 & see you in the pileups,

Jim Nitzberg WX3B
