Dear Members and Those of You Who Ain't No Friends of Mine No More:

I try to keep a low profile around the club. I figure if I spend 3 or 4
minutes a month doing a phoney-baloney job of membership chairman and show
up at a meeting or event or shoot out some e-mail every now and again, I can
throw up enough smoke and mirrors to keep me from doing any actual work.
They say it's hard to hit a moving target, but apparently, I just wasn't
moving fast enough or keeping a low enough profile at last night's meeting.
Instead of keeping my big mouth shut, I was dumb enough to ask the question,
"Who is on the Field Day Committee?" I don't remember a thing after that
except for the strange feeling that I was shot at and missed and @#$%& at
and hit!!!! I vaguely recall something about the words "chairman", "field",
and "day". I think that you guys would have done alot better if you had
hired the Marx Brothers.

So, I'm stuck with looking for volunteers for the annual Field Day Bash.
Please offer to help with something. I will keep a running list of folks
who volunteer and call a meeting of the committee sometime soon.
