CARROLL COUNTY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB BOARD OF DIRECTORS Minutes

were, Steve N3SB, Bill N3WM, Doug N5LBJ, John AK3Z, Jerry N3GQK and Joe

John AK3Z presented the board with the insurance estimates to replace
all club equipment should there be a need, the estimates were reviewed
and changed where needed, and a revised estimate will be presented at
the next meeting.
The Tailgate Fest has been moved from the second Sunday in August to the
third Sunday because the 4H fair will be extended next year and cleanup
will be done on that weekend, the date is August 15th 2004 at the AG center.
There has been no response from Maryland Public TV with regard to the
donation of the van.
Bill N3WM, with issue a check to AMSAT in the amount of $25.00 as voted
by the club.
There will be an auction of the excess equipment and items in the club
barn during the February 2004 club meeting, all items will be sold to
the highest bidder, and all will be sold as is and all sales are final.
The nominations for Ham of the Year were reviewed and the selection was
made, the announcement of the recipient will be made at the holiday
dinner. After the first of the year the board will put in writing the
criteria for this award, there currently are no rules for selection.
There was much discussion on how prizes at the Tailgate Fest and Hamfest
have been awarded in the past, there is a need to set a standard for
which all prizes will be awarded, there were several suggestions made
but none were finalized as we have sufficient time until the next event.
The board presented Bill N3WM with a birthday cake, and he was nice
enough to share it with us, Happy Birthday Willie Mike.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 2200.
