FYI CCARC MEMBERS....

Tomorrow, June 12th from 11 AM til NOON, NPR=20
will air during their "The Connection" a segment=20
on amateur radio. Please listen if you can because=20
you may hear a familiar voice from the radio. None=20
other than our former president Jim Nitzberg - WX3B.

NPR is on the FM dial but I could not find a local station=20
which airs that particular show. This show originates from=20
Boston University WBUR FM. =20

To listen to the show over the internet go to the WBUR=20
web page at:

www.wbur.org

Click on the link "Listen Live" in the upper left corner of=20
the page. Here's a brief description of the segment from=20
the WBUR web page...

Tuning into the world
Host: Dick Gordon
Far-flung frequencies. Long before the Internet brought the global =
village=20
home, ham radio connected counties, and continents. Why digital age=20
hams still thrill to a ride on radio's bandwidth.

Sorry for the last minute notice but I just found out about this.
