Matt KB3FTP, had a great idea, we joined forces and brought REACT back =
to Frederick County. REACT now uses Amateur, GRMS and CB (yes CB still =
works).=20

Our idea is to integrate the REACT Concept down to the neighborhood =
watch system in the county. We would use GMRS/FRS at the street level, =
roll that up to GMRS REACT net control and then roll that up to =
ARES/RACES net control. There is quite a bit more to it than that, but I
=
will save it for a letter of explanation.

We have two GRMS repeaters. One is ready to go and we are working to =
co-locate it with the 06 machine. The other needs to be programmed, =
before we can move it to a Middletown location.

We will be meeting with the Directors of MADXRA to begin working out the

details of a joint operational plan for emergency communication. We need
=
