[K3PZN-List] More on the Radio Truck

After considerable discussions, I am very happy to report to you all that we
WILL be getting the 40 foot pneumatic mast with the radio truck.

I appreciate all of the feed back from Eric, Steve and Frank regarding the
refurbishing of the truck once it is delivered. All of you bring up many
valid points which require further discussion. Speaking of delivering the
truck, there are still one or two more things I need to do to it before it
can be delivered.

Due to the the nature of the shot water pump, I'm a little bit concerned
about driving the vehicle the 19 miles to the club station.....if that is
where we're going to house it. I do NOT want to risk blowing out the head
gasket should the engine overheat. Does anyone have access to or know of a
company that would donate a tow for the radio truck to the club? The
vehicle should be ready for delivery to the radio club by the middle to end
of next week.

I'm thinking that we might be able to build a temporary garage for the truck
out of PVC pipe, tarps, rope, stakes and cable ties for not too much money.
The $64,000 question is, WHERE?

Would anyone like to 'take point' on co-ordinating the repairs and
refurbishing process?

Does any think that the automotive vo-tech people would be interested in
assisting with this project? (Hmmm. We might even get a new ham or two out
of that deal.) If yes, then one of our club officers should contact them.

As always, you're thoughts, questions, comments, gripes, etc. are welcome.
