Members,

Steve N3SB sent out an e-mail with regard to the BPL issue as a topic of
discussion for Monday night's meeting.  I won't beleaguer the issue telling
you the seriousness of this threat to the Amateur Radio Service.  I'm
writing this ask the question "what are we, as a club, prepared to do about
it?"  Many of us have already donated to the ARRL fund to pay for legal
costs to fight BPL, but much more will be needed.

Rather than putting a motion before the club to use any funds from the club
treasury, I would like to propose that we establish a BPL fund and every
member donate a minimum of $10.00 to this fund.  If every registered CCARC
member donated $10.00, we would have $1,000.00 to send to the ARRL BPL
fund.Once the monies are collected, the treasury could issue one check in
the name of the CCARC.
