                    The Pocahontas Coalfield ARC will sponsor a special
event 
  station on October 5, 2002 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at the Rocket
Boys 
  Festival in Coalwood, West Virginia.  The "1x1" call sign issued for
this 
  event is W8C.  The frequencies to be used will be 7235Khz, 14235Khz
and 
  145.450 Mhz.  The club will endeavor to send certificates to those
stations 
  that desire them.  A 9 x 12 SASE will expedite the certificate
mailings as 
  is customary for these events.  In case traffic such as nets is 
encountered, 
  the HF operators will QSY up or down the band to a clear frequency. 
All 
  area amateur radio operators are welcome to participate.
