[K3PZN-List] We have a FD site!!!

Hello All

Surprise. At least it was for me. I was waiting for a phone call and 
in the mail today came a signed sealed official permit for Freedom 
Park.

We have a FD site if we want it. I have in my possession an 
exclusive "USE Permit"  for the entire "EVENT AREA/Camping Area" of 
Freedom Park including a large Pavillion from June 21, Friday 8AM to 
June 23 Sunday 2PM. I told them the drill was over at 2 but we need 
a couple of hours for cleanup.

I will bring the permit, map and pictures to the BoD meeting.

I know that the FD Committee has other sites on the list and has not 
approved this site as of yet. However I feel this will be an 
excellent site that can be had year after year and we shouldn't look 
a gift horse in the mouth.   I think the fact that we are 
"connected" to Buddy Redman and the Counties Emergency 
Communications Planning is the reason for the swift response. I made 
sure they were aware and used Buddy as a reference.

On another note, it might be possible to have them move a couple of 
Spot-a-Pots back to the area. I will persue after the FD Committee 
approves the site. In any event, they are withing a a short walking 
distance.

There will probably be very few things going on in the park except 
for a few playoff games, howwever we are all the way at the end and 
have a tree line around most of the area so we will not be bothered. 
On the other hand, it is easy to get to no matter the weather.
