 - N2CSQ/Roy: RACES - MEMA has announced a statewide communications
   exercise (COMMEX) to take place 1930-2030 14 May. The scenario is
   based on communications outages caused by wildfires due to
   widespread drought. RACES nets are planned for 147.090+ RPT
   (Western Regional Net), 147.105+ RPT (Eas- tern Regional Net), and
   145.750 simplex packet (TCP/IP). MEMA asks that participants begin
   and end all traffic with the phrase: EXERCISE MESSAGE.

 - W4EHW Hurricane Season 2002 On-The-Air Station Test
   Saturday, June 1st, 2002 9am-6pm EST (1300z-2200z)
   W4EHW will be On-The-Air on HF, VHF and UHF We plan on using the
   following phone frequencies +/-QRM 7.268mhz, 14.325mhz, 21.325mhz,
   28.525mhz. CW will be on 14.035, 21.035 and 28.035. PSK31 on
   14.070. South Florida area VHF & UHF Repeaters & 146.52 simplex &
   144.200 ssb Report your Callsign, Signal Report, Location & Short
   Weather Report ("Sunny", or "Rain", etc.)


 - KE3FL: If you are a member of the CARET (Carroll Amateur Radio
   Emergency Team) - ARES/RACES it is time to renew. You can do so on
   -line at: http://www.qsl.net/caret find: [On-Line Form] and click
   on it, fill out the form & submit it. If you are a member we only
   need any changes AND your name /call-sign. If you are new please
   fill out the entire form.
   * At present we only have 19 active ARES/RACES members! All others
     your membership has expired!

 The National Conference of Volunteer Examiner Coordinators' Question
 Pool Committee has released a revised and expanded Amateur Extra
 class (Element 4) question pool into the public domain.  The new
 question pool becomes effective July 1, 2002, and must be used to
 generate all Extra class written examinations administered on or
 after that date.  It replaces the Extra class question pool released
 April 15, 2000--the day Amateur Radio "restructuring" became
 effective. Now 806 questions to choose 50 out of.
