Dear CCARC Members;

This weekend, starting Friday at 7:00pm, the WPX
(Worked All Prefixes) competition begins and runs for
48 hours!

This contest allows us to work anybody, anywhere, on
the HF bands. Your next door neighbor may be as
valuable a contact as halfway around the world.

I will be hosting this contest at my QTH in
Manchester, MD and will be running a Multi-Operator,
Multi-Transmitter, High Power effort. Thanks to Steve
Beckman, N3SB, there will be a total of 6 (a new
record!) high power, networked stations on the air at
once. That means we need operators...and lots of
them, to staff the stations.

Even if you can't come operate, you can help by
working us...we will be using John Chesley's Call -
AK3Z in the contest.

If you can operate, please let me know when you'll be
available by email or phone call. Refreshments and
some pizza will be available!

Directions to WX3B:

>From Westminster; take Route 27 to Route 30, Make
right on 30, Right at 1st light on Westminster St,
bear left on (Unmarked road) Park Avenue and I'm at
the top of the hill on the right, #2926.
(410)-374-9233.

>From the South; Take Route 30North to Left on
Westminster Street - follow directions above.

I look forward to seeing some of you at my house this
weekend!

73,

Jim Nitzberg WX3B
