Interesting you found that because that usually is used as a Yard
channel down south. I just happened to have it programmed in from
Jacksonville. Suddenly starting two weeks ago it came alive. I had been
here 10 months and never heard anything on it even over in Baltimore.
>From what I have heard it seems to be the new yard frequency for Locust
Point since I hear them calling out "BAN" track assignments. It is not
used right in Carroll County however (if your hearing something locally
please let me know - this is a change!). The only two lines in Carroll
County are: the oldest line in the world: The ex-B&O (now CSX) that runs
along the Patapsco. That frequency is 160.23 road and 160.32 dispatcher
"AU". And the other runs through Union Bridge and is owned by Maryland
Midland Railroad. It mainly exists today to server the concrete plant.
Frequencies for MMID are 160.425 (repeater), 160.545 & 160.965. I am
going to ask on the Baltimore rail mailing list and see if anybody else
knows. Good catch!
