[K3PZN-List] Listening for spurs

Greetings Keith;
Listen for audio that's the same as the current QSO in progress.
If you have a spare scanner or 2m transceiver, you could program in
frequencies from 135.750 to 135.900 in 10 KHz steps, and just let the
scanner search for a spur within that range. If they reappear -- they'll be
about 20dB down from the strength of the main carrier. So if you're in a
location where the repeater is starting to get a little marginal, you
probably won't be able to hear spurs if they exist.
If your scanner or transceiver supports sub-audible tones, then you can get
real fancy. Program your channels with a PL of 114.8 Hz. If the spurs
return, they'll have the sub-audible tone along with them.

Subject: Re: [K3PZN-List] 2M Repeater, my thanks!
If someone tells me what to listen for, I'd be happy to monitor 135.750 for
a while.
