Greetings Everyone;

There will be a special meeting of the Hamfest Committee next Wednesday
evening, July 24, 7:30 PM at the Fire Training Center. All members are
encouraged to attend.

Our goal for this meeting is to put some plans in place as we head into the
final few months before the Mason-Dixon Hamfest. There are MANY things we
can do to boost dealer and gate attendance; all of which translate into
more funds for our projects, and a more fun hamfest!

Bart N0NYY has suggested a number of ideas that could make a big
difference. They sound great -- yet I've never seen them done before at any
hamfest. I want to spend some time brainstorming additional ideas, then
prioritize them and assign the tasks. Many of these tasks are likely to be
very simple and quick to perform. All help will be greatly appreciated --
and will directly benefit your club!

The ground work is already done: The Ag Center is secured, the advertising
is in place, flyers have been printed, and we're ARRL Sanctioned. Now we
really need some extra hands pulling on the ropes to complete the project.

Once again -- please try to attend. The club really depends on the success
of its hamfest. Every little bit of support will make it more successful.
