(CCARC Members. Tony is having trouble with the new list service and
has asked me to post this message for him. Please do not reply to

 Frank (K3MTT)

Greetings, all fellow CCARC members! FYI ... the club election
will be held at the March general membership meeting. Nominations
are needed for all positions (president, vice president, secretary,
treasurer and five members-at -large to serve on the board of
directors). Nominations are to be presented at the Februrary
meeting.

We have a great club and one way to keep it a great club is to have
a spirited election. One definition of "spirited" is to have an
election with at least two candidates for each position, including
each of the member-at-large positions on the board of directors,
then let the membership decide who will represent it in the coming
year. To have a shot at "spirited", each of the approximately 90
members needs to be contacted between now and that February
meeting. Each of those 90 people needs to be able to say "Yes, I
would like to run for ....." or "No, I am not interested, but thank
you for asking".

Preferably, those 90 members should be contacted by telephone.
Why? When contacted in "voice mode", a person is more likely to
say (or urged to say) "Yes" (I speak from personal experience). It
is too easy to say "No" to e-mail or other non-personal contact.

Therefore, I am requesting your help in making a few telephone calls
and urging your fellow members to say "Yes" (You will hopefully say
"Yes" for yourself). If you can make a few phone calls, please let
me know. I will provide you with a short list of numbers within
your calling area so that you will not have to make any long
distance calls.

Your help will be greatly appreciated. Please help make it a
"spirited" election.

Time is short, so please contact me ASAP... via direct e-mail (
[email protected] ) or telephone (410-239-3203).

Please do not (I repeat... DO NOT) simply "reply" to this reflector
message...I won't receive it...Mr Mailman won't let me subscribe,
but I won't go there.

A hearty "Thank you" to Frank K3MTT for posting this message.

73,
Tony KF3AK / [email protected] / 410-239-3203
