I saw a 2-meter HT for sale, $99 (probably less at the stores) ADI AT I
believe

Check it out looks good but make sure it has a BNC antenna connector, you
do NOT want an SMA connctor for your first HT.

It is a very basic HT which is always a good thing to have around.
