[K3PZN-List] 160 Meter Phone Contest - Friday 02/22/02 8:00pm

Dear CCARC Contesters and observers;

I am pleased to announce that a group of us are going
to operate the 160 meter contest (Phone!) from our
club station this Friday night...and perhaps Saturday
if there is enough interest.  

John, AK3Z has generously pledged his refurbished 1KW
amplifier and antenna tuner for this effort.  N3SB
will also be on tap with Heil headset, etc.

We will be using John's callsign - AK3Z.

This is a stateside AND DX contest - and with our
relatively "low" windom antenna (160 meters) we should
rule the states out into the mid-west, be easily able
to contact the west coast, and we might even work on
or two Europeans.  

Of course we'd like to see some fresh faces at the
club station to help us out!
