[K3pzn-board] A Few Thoughts and Observations on the Drill at the EOC

Below is a list of observations/suggestions from yesterday's drill:

1. Power leads from equipment and power supply were plugged into the
wrong sockets on the distribution block-nothing was working when we arrived
at the EOC. We might maintain a station ICD/schematic so that a newcomer
who is troubleshooting knows what to look for.

2. Power lead from the radio was incorrectly terminated with the
Anderson power pole-power wires were exposed coming out of the back of the
power poles and they were too long, causing them to make intermittent
contact. These connections will need to be repaired or re-terminated. Who
can do this and when? Tony?

3. Inconsistent versions of FL-Digi at the sites-we really need to
insure we are using the same version everywhere to eliminate guesswork in
the future. I think EVERYONE would benefit from a tutorial on using FL-DIGI
so we can understand ALL settings completely and what they really mean. I
would like to have one at the next club meeting.

4. Also need to insure (me especially since it was my first time) that
everyone really knows how to use the FT-8800s.

Question-who is responsible for loading the radios with frequencies and how
did we determine the list? How did we determine what frequencies should be
programmed? How is the programming controlled? The programming needs to be
standardized on all the radios. Everyone who is participating should have
no doubts about how to use any of the equipment or control software.

Just my two cents coming into a drill as a rank beginner. I had fun but
looking forward to being more involved in the future and practicing.
