[K3pzn-board] Minutes April Board Meeting

Hi Ray,

 

Sorry we missed you.  Here are the minutes for you to publish when you have
time:

 

In attendance were Larry, WX3F, Steve, N3SB, Andy, WO3L, Pete, W3GVX, John,
AK3Z, and Pat, N8PK.

 

Meeting opened at approximately 6:00 PM.

 

The next general business club meeting will be held at the Non-profit center
in Westminster at 7:30 PM on May 12.  It is CRUCIAL that club members attend
as elections will be held, and all positions are open.  Members are asked
and encouraged to run for an Office or send nominations to the Board ahead
of time.  They are also free to nominate themselves if they would like to
run.  The new Board and new officers will take control at the next general
Club meeting in June.

 

Jim, WX3B and Mike N3VOP are working as a team to secure the Gamber VFD site
for Field Day in June.

 

Andy has placed calls to secure the Ag Center for the Tailgate fest. 

Larry will make reservations and facilitate payment for the next general
club meeting at the Non-profit center. 

Andy and John (AK3Z) will meet Tony at the old FTC to recover the beam
antenna, rotor, and VHF/UHF vertical on Wednesday, April 23.  These are the
last of the Club assets that are to be recovered from the old site and were
removed from the old tower intact by the construction crews.

 

The Board/Club will consider request for Life Membership for Larry, WX3F.

 

Urgent business that needs to be completed ASAP:

 

1.       Elect new officers and Board members for the coming year.

2.       Perform an audit of club records, assets, and financials on or
before starting the next year of administration-requires two club members
who are not officers.

3.       Begin photographing, listing, and advertising any and all items
that are in storage and that the Club no longer wishes (or needs) to retain.
