Hi,

How 'bout both, since I will be out a week from now.

That is, we can chat about and form the agenda
tonight and dig in on it next week?

Just a thought.

Should we move the Board meeting to next week? Steve will not be here. John is out. Andy might not make it. And I am starting vacation this week.

My $0.02 is that we won't have manpower to move the items to the hamfest either late Sat or Early Sun (if we do it Sat do we have to leave someone with it?). If we do move it over and try to sell it then whomever mans the table should have negotiation power to make it move.

I've got customer meetings today and tomorrow, might be here late tonight setting up a demo, not sure yet.

Andy

Pete,

I suppose it is nice to get free equipment and free money for the club and don't want to sound ungrateful. But given that we no longer have a storage location and need to store things at members' homes for now really need to implement a policy of not accepting equipment donations unless it is something really spectacular. Most of the time we just end up taking care of someone else's junk that they don’t feel like throwing out. We really don't have a place to put anything and need to move out a HUGE amount of equipment before the end of the year (or sooner) if the County happens to give us a deadline to vacate far in advance. We can discuss tomorrow. But thanks for letting us know.

John, AK3Z

I received a call from an 81 year old retired electrical engineer living in Union Bridge who has an attic full of equipment he wants to get rid of. (He got my number from the Ag Center.) He said it would fill a small pick-up and consists of two oscilloscopes, power supplies, several tape recorders, a lot of audio equipment, etc. He wants to get rid of it and will donate it to the club for sale at the hamfest. He is not interested in receiving any payment in return. He said it all works, at least it did 8 years ago when he moved to New Windsor.

I’m willing to collect the equipment with help and maybe store it in the barn until the hamfest. I’m looking for a plan for pricing, maybe reducing the prices as the hamfest progresses to make sure the stuff sells. (Maybe a silent auction?)

Looking for help and suggestions.
