All,
Andy and were discussing organizing a work party (less than half a day
during the upcoming 4 day holiday weekend?) to begin inventory and
organization of all club assets both in the barn and in the bunker. Bad
time for us as we are all really busy and overworked for this year already.
But unless we get a date far into the future for our exit from the FTC need
to tackle this in time for the Tailgate fest. Tony will be meeting with the
County on Monday and hopefully will get an official date for us to work
with. Once we have our lists, we may even consider advertising on the club
list and even on Eham to start disposing of equipment and material, prior to
the tailgate fest (the Club can use my account for free).
Tasks at hand:
1. Take inventory of all material-make lists.
2. Make 3 lists-"Donate/Toss", "Sell", and "Keep".
3. Determine lowest value of any material we wish to sell and use this
as our bottom line when selling it off.
4. Prioritize which items can be sold first and last-the most
desirable material (like an AB-577 and/or transceiver) should be saved for
last while big items like tower sections can go first.
5. Organize material for retention or sale.
6. Move remaining material to offsite locations if we have to leave
the FTC before disposal.
Hopefully we can engage the help of some other club members to help us out
who have not yet done any volunteering this year.
What times are good for everyone? I am planning to take off on Friday but
probably flexible to fit a few hours in at some point over the weekend. If
this weekend is not good for everyone that is ok. Perhaps we can do it
piecemeal a few evenings over the course of the month. Just let me know
your thoughts.
